How does scoring work?

When you tap a jurisdiction tile, the app records a “spot.” If you’ve enabled proximity scoring for a trip, the app uses your device’s location to award bonus points based on how far you are from your home jurisdiction.

Why isn’t location working?

PL8HNT uses your device’s location only when you tap a tile and only if you’ve enabled proximity scoring for the current trip. To enable or change location permissions, open your device’s Settings app and find PL8HNT under the list of installed apps.

Your location data is never transmitted off your device.

I don’t see any achievements

Achievements unlock as you reach jurisdiction milestones (10, 25, 40, and all 50 US states). Make sure you’ve tapped the tile for each state you’ve spotted; tapping the same state more than once is fine, but unique states are what count toward achievements.

How do I start a new road trip?

Open the trip manager (the avatar icon in the top right of the main screen). From there you can create new trips and switch between them. Each trip tracks its own jurisdiction taps independently.

Can I share my trip with friends?

Not at the moment. Maybe in the future :)
